Polish attorneys-at-law in practice are required to carry professional indemnity insurance for damage caused while providing legal assistance.
Scope
Mandatory insurance covers an attorney-at-law’s civil liability for damage caused by an act or omission in the course of professional activities, subject to the applicable legislation and the terms and exclusions of the policy.
Insurance provides financial protection for clients, but does not replace professional diligence, legal privilege or disciplinary accountability.
